What Is Bioabsorbable Thread?
Bioabsorbable Thread

A thread lift is a technique in which a dissolvable suture is used to raise and tighten the skin. It is less invasive than facelift surgery and may typically be completed in less than 45minutes without the use of a knife.
Dissolvable threads or sutures have been used in Medical Beauty industry for a very long time.
These threads have various materials and shapes: PDO (Polydioxanone), PLLA (Polylactic acid), PCL (Polycaprolactone). All these threads are used in beauty treatments to tighten, volumise and lift the skin.

What are the differences between PDO, PCL and PLLA Threads?
PDO is short for Polydioxanone, it is purely chemical substance, and is not purified from animals. There is allergens,  so it is much safer.

PCL is short for Polycaprolactone, most of PCL threads are purified from animal protein and have the possibility to cause allergic reactions after use.

PLLA is short for Polylactic Acid, It proves to be a powerful collagen regenerator. The PCL thread is relatively soft. Although the lifting force is not as strong as PDO threads, it may also achieve an effect of lifting, tightening the skin and removing wrinkles, and the operation is more flexible and convenient. PLLA thread is mainly composed of poly-L-lactic acid, which will be gradually absorbed and decomposed into carbon dioxide and water in the body for about 6-10 months. It has a skin rejuvenation effect, so it is also called " Facial Rejuvenation Thread". The material is relatively hard,  so the obvious results will appear after 3 months, and it will completely turn into collagen after one year.

Summary
Thread Lift is one the most effective ways to lift the loose skin without surgery. All these three types of lifting threads may be absorbed by our body, you may choose accordingly.
